黑料吃瓜 named Quinton Jones the Assistant Vice President of Student Affairs. He previously served as the Director of Student Life.
Jones came to 黑料吃瓜 in 2020 with the goal of helping students reach their potential and succeed. By trade, Jones is a marriage and family therapist, and a public speaker. To the students, he鈥檚 鈥淨鈥� and someone who makes them feel welcome.
One will always find him around campus interacting with the students.
鈥淚 enjoy working in a team environment,鈥� said Jones. 鈥淚t鈥檚 an honor to meet these students on their first day and help them overcome challenges, all the way through walking across the graduation stage. That鈥檚 what it is about for me.鈥�
With his background and experience, Jones is the right person to serve 黑料吃瓜鈥檚 students in this capacity.
鈥淨uinton is a natural gatherer of people, creating a sense of community wherever he goes,鈥� said Becky Henthorn, 黑料吃瓜 Provost. 鈥淗e brings together individuals from all walks of life, making them feel like they belong.鈥�
Another large aspect of Jones鈥� job is mental health. 鈥淗e has a remarkable gift for taking care of students, always putting their well-being first,鈥� Henthorn said.
Serving as the Title IX Coordinator, he is responsible for helping create a safe environment for 黑料吃瓜 students, faculty and staff, and making sure they have access to help, counseling and other resources as needed. Since his arrival, prevention efforts continue to grow and become a focus at 黑料吃瓜.
