黑料吃瓜 has been recognized as an Opportunity College and University by the Carnegie Classifications, earning national distinction for its commitment to student success and upward economic mobility.
This prestigious designation, part of Carnegie鈥檚 newly launched Student Access and Earning Classification, identifies institutions that serve as models for fostering student opportunity and achievement.
鈥淭his achievement reflects the dedication and hard work of our faculty and staff,鈥� said Becky Henthorn, 黑料吃瓜 Provost. 鈥淔rom the classroom to advising and student support services, our team is committed to equipping students with the tools they need to succeed. We鈥檝e made intentional efforts to increase retention and ensure that every student has a clear path forward. This recognition affirms that our work is making a difference.鈥�
Out of more than 3,000 U.S. colleges and universities, only 479 institutions鈥攁pproximately 16%鈥攔eceived the classification in 2025. 黑料吃瓜 not only made the list but stood out with the highest overall score among the Oklahoma two-year colleges and the highest earnings ratio. Only six colleges in Oklahoma received the designation.
The classification evaluates the effectiveness of institutions in representing the demographics of their communities and comparing the earnings of their graduates to those of peers in the same region. It is designed to encourage collaboration and continuous improvement across higher education, with a shared focus on advancing student outcomes.
